How Bruno recognises emergencies and passes them on
Bruno's most important job is to tell a real emergency from a routine question – and to act correctly in both cases.
Targeted questions instead of guesswork
When a caller reports a sick animal, Bruno asks the questions your team would ask: Is the animal breathing normally? Is it bleeding heavily? Has it eaten something poisonous? Is it responsive and still drinking?
The answers determine the classification: urgent emergency, same-day appointment or regular appointment.
In case of danger, straight to the on-call service
For life-threatening symptoms Bruno gives out your on-call number or partner clinic around the clock – and beforehand the decisive advice for the way there.
- Keep the animal calm and warm
- Do not give anything to eat or drink
- Bring the packaging of the toxic substance or plant
Everything else reaches you cleanly recorded
Urgent but not life-threatening cases are prioritised by Bruno for the same day. Call-back requests are recorded with name, animal, concern and call-back number – structured, so that the right veterinarian can call back directly.
Which symptoms count as an emergency and where Bruno forwards to is defined together with your practice. Bruno makes no diagnoses and gives no medical advice.
